16 THOMAS D. HELTON has been ap pointed instrumentation supervisor in the Ecusta Paper Division. He came to Pisgah Forest last June as senior instrument engineer in the Ecusta Paper Di vision. He was employed by Olin Chemicals Group plant at Charles ton, Tenn., in January 1962 for work as instru ment technician. He advanced to instrument super visor and before his transfer to Pisgah Forest was assigned to the regional engineering section serving Chemicals Group plants in the southeast. He attended schools in his native Saltville, Va., and worked summers at Olin’s Saltville plant while in college. He graduated from East Tennessee State Univer sity with a B.S. degree in Industrial Arts. Additional mechanical engi neering study was at the University of Tennessee and the Chicago In stitute of Electronics. CHARLES C. HUNNICUTT has been appointed manager of accounting services in the Fine Paper and Film Group. He has served as staff ac countant, systems engineer in data processing, fi nancial analyst and senior ac countant since joining Olin in October 1963. He was manager of taxes and insur ance at the time of this promotion. He previously worked as an ac ¬ countant with General Motors in Cleveland, and served four years with the U. S. Navy. A native of Hendersonville, he graduated from Flat Rock High School and Berea College where he received a degree in Business Administration. He is a member of the National Association of Ac countants. ROBERT S. LAWRENCE has been appointed director of international marketing in the Fine Paper and Film Group at Pisgah Forest. As sociated with export sales for 12 years, he served since July 1973 as international sales manager in the International Sales Department of the Ecusta Pa per Division. His new assignment embraces Film Di vision export sales as well as those of Ecusta. A native of Can ton and raised in Brevard, he began two years of service with the U. S. Army Ordi nance Corps six months after join ing Ecusta’s Technical Service De partment in June 1961. He entered the Export Sales Department on his return in 1963. He was named assistant export sales manager in 1972 and manager the next year. From Brevard High School he en tered Clemson University where he became vice president of the student body, editor of the engi neering magazine, “Slapstick,” and a member of the Blue Key Leader ship Fraternity. Also named to Tau Beta Pi engineering honor society, Tiger Brotherhood, and Who’s Who in American Universities and Col leges, he graduated with honors and a B.S. degree in Ceramic Engineer ing. PETER V. SURRETTE has been ap pointed quality control inspector in the Ecusta Paper Division. He joined Olin in January 1974, assigned to the Winding and Calendering de partment and the fibre cutting oper ation. Before that he was manager of the Family Dol lar Store in Bre vard, and was em ployed by Caro lina Tire Co. in Brevard. A native of Transylvania County, he grad uated from Brevard High School and is an alumnus of Western Caro lina University at Cullowhee. He served in the U. S. Army for three years and is a member of the Sha olin Suu Kempo school of self-de fense. JOHN W. LEE has been named ma terials and stores manager for the Fine Paper and Film Group. He had served as stores supervisor in the Ecusta Paper Division since October 1974. He has been with Olin since July 1972 when he joined Ecusta’s Production Control Department as a production planner. Earlier work was with Fi nancial Data Sciences, General Dynamics Corp, and Martin-Mari etta Corp. He al so served four years of active and reserve duty with the U. S. Army. Lee grad uated from Wil liam R. Boone High School in his native Orlando, Fla., and is an alumnus of South western Louisiana and Florida Sou thern College. He belongs to the In dustrial Stores Managers Assn, and the American Production and In ventory Control Society. GRADY N. POWELL has been ap pointed quality control inspector in the Ecusta Papei Division. He was employed in June 1958 and has worked in Ecus ta’s Rod Depart ment, Carbonate Plant, Pulp Mill, and Gumming - Repse - Reaming. Before joining Olin he worked with Winn-Dixie. Past president of the Eastatoe Com munity Club, he is president of Ros man Elementary Parent-Teachers’ Association. ***
